Description

The EARNED IT Program was created to teach student-athletes that leadership, discipline, service, and accountability create opportunities on and off the field. This position will play an important role in helping student-athletes live out those values while strengthening their schools and communities. This role also aligns with the mission and vision of the Career Center at New College of Florida and its internship or job structure. Therefore, the student must act in compliance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Competencies.

Examples of Duties

Professionalism: Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and professionalism in all interactions with students and stakeholders

Leadership & Teamwork: Collaborate with program staff and partners while taking initiative to support program implementation

Communication: Facilitate workshops and mentorship sessions, delivering clear and engaging content to diverse student audiences

Critical Thinking: Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement using feedback and data insights

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or spreadsheet tracking systems
  • Former high school or college athlete preferred but not required
  • Experience mentoring youth, event coordination, fundraising, or volunteer management preferred
