Here's the Role:

If you enjoy solving sophisticated problems in a flexible environment in an industry that is growing with the Texas power grid, this role may be for you. The Operations & Business Analyst role reports directly to the LCRA Transmission Director of Business Performance. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong skills in estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting who can articulate financial needs to business owners and guide sound decision-making. This position is perfect for those who love data visualization and finance as you will use Oracle DV to communicate financial and operational updates across business segments. Beyond day-to-day analysis, you will play a key role in strategic scenario planning and operational improvement initiatives, helping us enhance the quality of life for Texans through water stewardship and energy.

How You’ll Contribute:
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive management for enhancing projects, ensuring initiatives are effectively implemented by forming specialized evaluation and implementation teams.
  • Develop business cases for capital and operational initiatives.
  • Support various Transmission departments through the budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Develop and deliver creative, data-driven insights and problem-solving solutions tailored for a senior leadership and executive-level audience.
  • Participate in cross-departmental solution development for strategic issues
  • Be onsite at LCRA TSC headquarters at least two days per week
How You’re Qualified:
  • Six or more years' experience in capital planning, decision-making modeling, operations and maintenance planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support or relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, finance, math, science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
How You’ll Stand Out:
  • Experience in visualization and reporting tools, i.e. Oracle DV, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Experience with an Enterprise level budgeting tool, such as Anaplan
