Introduction:
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Operations Warehouse Admin position. This position is a contract opportunity, with a potential of transition to direct. It will primarily be an on-site position in Orlando, FL.
Summary:
As an Operations Warehouse Admin, you will assist the inventory control team in documenting / updating/creating SOPs by functional areas within the warehouse. You will be involved in updating inventory part records in regard to obsolescence.
Core responsibilities will be:
- Provide support to Supply Chain and Warehouse teams in the execution of technical activities associated with process improvements, such as:
- SOP documentation / updating
- Part usage analysis
- Warehouse design and layout
- Kitting of parts for manufacturing and assembly - Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Learn and perform testing to enhance system usage and support execution of
material movement throughout two warehouse locations - Assist in obsolescence review / removal from inventory and system update
- Lead other projects as assigned
Required Experience and Education:
- Knowledge of MRP systems, production control and inventory control.
- Microsoft Office suite experience.
- Associate's degree required.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with fundamental warehouse procedures
- Lean manufacturing experience, including 5S.
