The Operations Supervisor supervises production or warehouse operations in one or more departments or functional areas. Implements and administers organizational functions or processes, ensuring that they are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with established policies and regulations. Tracks processes, preparing reports for management detailing quality or quality of departmental actions. Assigns staff to tasks based on availability or expertise. Monitors team or department efficiency and ensures that output meets expectations.

Shift: M-Th, Night Shift: 4PM - 2AM

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Mining, Engineering or other related field preferred and/or combination of education and on-the-job experience preferred.

Prior experience supervising hourly employees required.

Prior industrial manufacturing experience preferred.

Collaborative management style with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Strong troubleshooting abilities and ability to use quick judgement to make sound decisions which keep the plant operating.

Quick thinker and decisive on direction.

Adequate computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.

Proactive focus on operations management.

Ability to coach and manage production crew to strengthen the operations team.

Manage the production lines or areas by planning and directing work to assigned crews while ensuring production and quality specifications are being met safely and efficiently.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate necessary downtime with production and maintenance departments.

Communicate production issues to Operations Superintendent/Manager and identify areas for improvement.

Assist the Operations Superintendent/Manager with the development and execution of safety plans.

Provide direction, training and performance feedback to production staff.

Follow and promote all safety regulations and report any hazardous conditions immediately.

Additional Duties and Tasks

Manage the production lines or areas by planning and directing work to assigned crews while ensuring production and quality specifications are being met safely and efficiently.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate necessary downtime with production and maintenance departments.
