EMS Operations Supervisor - Erlanger, KY

Starting at $25/hour (more depending on experience)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EMS Operations Supervisor to provide operational leadership while serving in an on-the-truck supervisory role. This position maintains a consistent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday day shift schedule and is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations, supporting field personnel, and delivering high-quality patient care.

The Operations Supervisor will function as both a field provider and supervisor, leading by example while supporting crews, addressing operational issues, and ensuring service excellence throughout the assigned shift.

In addition to the established weekend schedule, the selected candidate must be willing and available to work PRN supervisory shifts to provide coverage for scheduled days off, vacations, and other planned absences of fellow Operations Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, coach, and supervise EMTs and Paramedics.
  • Ensure clinical quality, protocol compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily staffing needs.
  • Respond to major incidents and coordinate operations during emergencies or disasters.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer concerns; document and resolve issues.
  • Maintain relationships with fire, police, hospitals, and other partner agencies.
  • Oversee narcotics management, fleet readiness, and unit stocking.
  • Communicate company updates, gather field feedback, and help resolve employee concerns.
  • Participate in training, orientation, performance feedback, and employee development.
  • Support HR processes including counseling, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Complete required reports, paperwork, and operational documentation.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • EMS field paramedic experience
  • Prior supervisory, FTO, or instructor experience

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred

Skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Paramedic certification
  • Must meet AMR driving policy requirements
