    About the Opportunity

    Creative Business Innovations is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for a leading Tier 1 Honda Supplier. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring a safe and efficient production environment, and leading teams to achieve quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong manufacturing background, continuous improvement experience, and a passion for developing people.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Foster and maintain a safe workplace while promoting a strong safety culture.
    • Lead daily production operations to achieve SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale) objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Plan staffing levels to meet customer production demands.
    • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and mentor Team Leaders and production associates through coaching, training, and performance management.
    • Promote teamwork and effective communication across production, maintenance, quality, and other departments.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
    • Interpret work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and production schedules to assign work effectively.
    • Monitor production quality by inspecting products and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
    • Coordinate machine adjustments and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
    • Improve production methods, equipment performance, efficiency, and product quality.
    • Maintain production records, staffing reports, and performance documentation.
    • Support capital equipment improvement projects and new product launches.
    • Collaborate with customers and internal departments to ensure production schedules and delivery commitments are met.
    • Respond to production, supply chain, and operational issues as needed.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of manufacturing experience and leadership experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, production planning, and assembly processes.
    • ISO compliance experience, including writing and reviewing SOPs and supporting audits.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating procedures, and quality specifications.
    • Strong mathematical skills, including calculations involving ratios, percentages, decimals, and basic shop math.

    Leadership Responsibilities

    • Supervise Team Leaders and hourly production associates.
    • Plan daily production activities and assign workloads.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, recognition, and corrective action when appropriate.
    • Resolve employee concerns and production issues in a timely manner.
    • Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team environment.
    • Drive employee engagement while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

    Physical & Work Requirements

    • Spend approximately 75% of the workday on the production floor and 25% performing administrative responsibilities.
    • Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry materials as required.
    • Availability to work assigned shifts and provide on-call support for production or supply chain emergencies when necessary.
