CES/AWS is looking for an Operations Superintendent (Night Shift) for our Automotive Manufacturer Client.

Location: Sellersburg, IN
Salary: $85k - $95k/y
Shift: Night Shift

Position Overview

The Operations Superintendent is responsible for managing all night shift operations, leading supervisors, and ensuring production, quality, safety, and customer requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in manufacturing or JIT environments and is passionate about developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Business Management
  • Oversee and prioritize all aspects of shop floor operations during night shift
  • Ensure production schedules are met to support customer requirements
  • Lead shift and department meetings
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership & Team Development
  • Directly manage and develop shift supervisors
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, morale, productivity, and quality
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors regarding operational and safety matters
Quality, Problem Solving & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company quality systems, policies, and procedures
  • Adhere to control plans and quality requirements
  • Support problem-solving efforts and operational reporting
Customer Support
  • Participate in customer and internal presentations related to production responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
  • Foster a safety-first culture and support facility safety goals
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Promote company vision, culture, and operating philosophy
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Management, or related field
    (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in automotive manufacturing, JIT, sequencing, or assembly environments
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient with computer systems and production reporting tools
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
