Summary

CHS Devils Lake has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operations Specialist/Truck Driver in Adams, ND. In this role, you will support daily operations through equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and assisting across agronomy functions as needed. Responsibilities vary by season and include operating equipment such as forklifts and skid steers, helping on the seed and chemical side in the spring, maintaining the yard in the summer, and performing snow removal in the winter. This is a hands-on, team-focused role where flexibility and a willingness to help wherever needed are key to success. No CDL? No problem-CHS will provide support and training to help you obtain your CDL, making this a great opportunity to build your skills and advance your career.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
  • Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
  • Deliver products safely and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
  • Report safety or customer issues promptly.
  • Maintain strong safety culture.
  • Perform other assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Additional Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
