Job Summary:
We are seeking an Operations & Quality Compliance Manager to play a key role in strengthening and standardizing our production processes within a food manufacturing environment.
This role is focused on SOP development, process compliance, root cause analysis, and operational improvement—not traditional production management. You will work closely with Operations and Quality teams to identify gaps, improve workflows, and ensure processes are clearly defined and consistently followed.
This is a hands-on, floor-oriented role (approximately 50/50 floor and desk) requiring a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable both analyzing processes and supporting execution on the production floor.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, review, update, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across production to ensure processes are clearly defined and consistently followed
- Ensure operational processes are compliant with established SOPs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for production-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Serve as a key point of contact between Operations and Quality, partnering closely with the QA Manager on food safety, quality, and compliance initiatives
- Lead, coordinate, and drive production improvement projects, including reviewing current processes, evaluating equipment, and supporting future growth initiatives
- Analyze production results, including yield and performance data, to identify trends, report findings, and recommend improvements
- Support recipe management processes, including updates, revisions, and system changes
- Provide hands-on support on the production floor as needed and serve as a backup resource for Production Supervisors
What You’ll Need
- 4-7 years of experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment
- Experience with:
- SOP development and process documentation
- Process improvement and operational compliance
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Strong understanding of production workflows and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Production teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Willingness to be hands-on and present on the production floor
Nice to Have
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Exposure to food safety and regulatory standards (SQF, USDA, FDA, GMPs, SSOPs)
- Background in food science or related field
