As an Operational Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring all non-cannabis operational goods that support company operations, including raw materials, packaging, cultivation/production supplies, merchandise and other indirect materials. This role manages sourcing suppliers, negotiating sales agreements, purchase order creation, cost savings, freight coordination, data analysis and cross functional communication. Must possess strong effective communication skills, organizational skills and problem-solving skills. Partners closely with Warehouse Operations, Accounts Payable, Production, Cultivations, Sales and other departments to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Source and qualify suppliers for operational and indirect materials
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain supplier relationships & performance
- Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
- Expedite critical orders and backorders
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies, shortages, damages, and invoice issues
- Monitor inventory levels using established minimum and maximum par levels.
- Coordinate replenishment of warehouse operational inventory
- Maintain Item Master data within WMS
- Analyze inventory usage trends and recommend par adjustments
- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts
- Coordinate with inbound freight with carriers and suppliers
- Track Purchase order through delivery and receiving
- Communicate delivery schedules to internal teams
- Partner with warehouse lead to resolve receiving discrepancies
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Ensure purchase orders, receipts, and invoices are properly matched
- Generate/create procurement reports and spend analysis
- Ensure internal communication of order information to organization.
- Assist the Head of Department in achieving the goals of the department.
- Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers always.

Education and/or Experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be 21 years of age or older.
NV State Agent Card Required.
OSHA 10 Required (company paid) to be completed within 6 months of hiring.
