Founded in 2009, Heartland Roadshow is one of the nation's leading buyers of jewelry, coins, precious metals, antiques, collectibles, and other valuables through events held throughout the United States. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead e-commerce operations, fulfillment execution, and live selling support across multiple digital sales channels.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and enjoys building structure, improving processes, and leading teams. The ideal candidate has experience in e-commerce operations, marketplace environments, or fulfillment-driven digital businesses and is comfortable managing managers and cross-functional teams.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading e-commerce operations and fulfillment execution across multiple digital sales channels, including online marketplaces and live selling platforms such as Whatnot.
This role oversees day-to-day fulfillment, inventory flow, staffing, and operational performance, while also owning the execution of a seven-day live selling operation.
Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will manage staffing models, scheduling, process improvement, and team performance across both fulfillment and e-commerce operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who can balance strategic thinking with execution, lead through managers, and build scalable systems in a fast-moving digital commerce environment.
Experience with eBay, Whatnot, Amazon, Shopify, or similar marketplace platforms is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee e-commerce operations and fulfillment execution across online marketplace and live selling channels
- Manage warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, and product flow supporting digital sales operations
- Lead, coach, and develop approximately five managers and 30 operational team members
- Own scheduling for a seven-day live selling operation, ensuring Whatnot hosts are properly staffed during extended business hours to maximize sales performance
- Optimize staffing, workflow, and productivity across fulfillment and e-commerce operations
- Monitor daily operational KPIs, productivity, and performance trends
- Use data and reporting to forecast staffing needs and improve operational efficiency
- Develop and implement scalable processes that improve accuracy, consistency, and throughput
- Ensure inventory movement and fulfillment processes are executed accurately and efficiently
- Partner with leadership to identify operational challenges and implement solutions
- Manage operational escalations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of operational staff and managers
- Drive accountability across teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Ensure teams have the tools, systems, and training needed for success
- P&L experience is preferred but not required

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, marketplace operations, fulfillment operations, or high-volume digital commerce environments
- Experience with platforms such as eBay, Whatnot, Amazon, Shopify, or similar strongly preferred
- Experience managing fulfillment or distribution operations supporting e-commerce sales
- Experience leading managers, supervisors, or multi-level operational teams
- Strong understanding of order flow, inventory movement, and digital sales operations
- Experience managing complex scheduling or staffing in high-volume environments
- Strong process improvement and operational leadership experience
- Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to drive decisions
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- P&L experience is a plus but not required
