We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Operations Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of our commercial, yard, logistics, and operational performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance big-picture business strategy with day-to-day execution across sales, fleet, inventory, and compliance.

This position will play a key role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market share

  • Oversee sales performance, pricing, and customer contracts

  • Build strong relationships with key customers and vendors

  • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities

Yard Management & Operations

  • Oversee daily yard operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and organization

  • Optimize material flow, loading/unloading, and site layout

  • Implement standard operating procedures to improve productivity

Logistics & Fleet Optimization

  • Manage transportation, routing, and fleet utilization

  • Control fuel, maintenance, and transportation costs

  • Ensure vehicles and drivers meet regulatory and safety standards

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Own site-level P&L, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Track KPIs, margins, and operational costs

  • Drive continuous improvement to increase profitability

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and material tracking

  • Reduce waste, shrinkage, and excess stock

  • Coordinate purchasing and material planning

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations meet OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations

  • Lead safety programs, training, and audits

  • Foster a culture of accountability and workplace safety

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, or industrial/commercial leadership

  • Strong background in sales strategy, operational finance, and fleet or yard management

  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance

  • Experience with inventory systems, KPIs, and cost control

  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
