Operations Manager (HVAC Service)

We’re looking for a strong operational leader to oversee and elevate our HVAC Service team across Plainfield, IN and the greater Indianapolis market for our established home services brand. If you have experience leading skilled professionals, driving performance, and building scalable systems, this is your opportunity to make a major impact. As the Operations Manager (HVAC Service), you’ll own the day-to-day service operations, ensuring our HVAC Service team is productive, supported, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll drive scheduling efficiency, technician performance, and operational excellence to position the business for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop the HVAC Service team to hit performance goals and deliver high-quality service.
• Own daily operations by setting priorities, removing roadblocks & leading with clarity and accountability.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs (revenue, efficiency, close rates, average ticket, etc.) and implement strategies to improve performance and profitability.
• Drive scheduling efficiency and workforce utilization.
• Partner with leadership, sales, and dispatch to align operational execution with revenue and growth goals.
• Ensure job quality, material usage, and timelines meet both customer expectations and company standards.
• Promote and enforce safety, compliance, and quality standards across all service operations.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of leadership experience in field service, trades, sales, or operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and consistently deliver performance results.
• Strong operational mindset with experience improving processes and driving efficiency.
• Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
• HVAC service experience preferred, but not required.
• Transferable leadership experience in home services or other field-based industries is highly valued.
• Ability to work on-site as a hands-on leader in Plainfield, IN and across the Indianapolis market.
