As an Operations Manager, you will lead site-wide operations across multiple locations, ensuring service excellence, safety compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while serving as the primary liaison between MAU leadership and customer management.

Shift Information

  • Full-time, Direct-Hire position
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Occasional nights and weekends required

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma with 5-7 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading teams and identifying workplace hazards
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • 1-3 years of SAP or Warehouse Management Software transactional experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Human Resources experience and training

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customer senior leadership teams
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific policies, regulations, and service requirements
  • Maintain effective communication between MAU and customer personnel
  • Monitor and achieve departmental performance metrics and operational targets
  • Foster and support a safety culture focused on achieving zero incidents
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance, budgets, and operational support needs
  • Manage crisis response activities and emergency situations
  • Supervise and develop four Operations Supervisors
  • Partner with recruiting teams to support hiring, interviewing, and leadership selection processes
  • Coordinate leadership training and employee development initiatives
  • Administer MAU policies consistently to reduce legal and compliance risks
  • Maintain and improve safety processes, training documentation, and OSHA-required programs
  • Implement and manage Site Safety Excellence Plans and Safety Action Improvement Processes
  • Conduct daily Safety Gemba walks and safety observations
  • Oversee annual OSHA training, production validation, and powered industrial equipment training
  • Maintain training records, cross-training matrices, and employee development documentation
  • Coach and mentor associates and leadership team members
  • Coordinate resources for short-term and long-term projects
  • Evaluate project performance and recommend process improvements
  • Attend customer and departmental meetings as required
  • Track and report purchase order billing and site expenses

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Work in manufacturing, warehouse, and administrative environments
  • Exposure to heavy industrial equipment and powered industrial vehicles
  • Work in climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments, including hot and cold conditions
  • Frequent interaction with production and operational teams throughout the facility

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk up to 5 miles per day
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative duties
  • Ability to lift 5-20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
