Expedite Services – Logistics Operations Specialist - Atlanta, GA

NIGHT SHIFT - 11 pm - 7 am ideal- however flexible

Technical & Administrative Skills

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. geography and major logistics hubs
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and internal tracking software
  • Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot documentation in high volume
  • Excel skills for tracking shipments, creating quotes, or compiling performance data

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Full-time availability + open to overtime
  • Previous experience in expedite, airfreight, or time-critical logistics is a strong advantage
  • Sharp problem solver with a customer-first mindset
  • High integrity, work ethic, and attention to detail
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

  • Route time-sensitive shipments for maximum speed and profitability
  • Coordinate with airlines, drivers, delivery agents, and internal teams
  • Own the customer relationship—communicate with confidence, urgency, and clarity
  • Monitor every detail from booking through delivery with full visibility
  • Solve real-time problems with calm under pressure and fast decision-making
  • Support new and existing accounts with smart, tailored logistics solutions
  • Build and manage relationships with top-tier carriers
  • Generate accurate quotes, process documentation, and follow strict procedural compliance
  • Collaborate with accounting to flag billing anomalies
  • Provide after-hours emergency logistics support (overnight preferred: 11 PM–7 AM)
