Operations Manager - Production & Distribution
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
Position Type: Direct Hire
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee production, warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient operations while driving productivity, inventory accuracy, employee performance, and on-time customer deliveries.
What You'll Do (Job Duties)
- Lead daily production, warehouse, and shipping operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
- Develop and manage production schedules, labor allocation, and operational priorities.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop employees while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Oversee inventory control, material flow, receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and customer deliveries while controlling freight costs.
- Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectations.
What We're Looking For (Requirements and Qualifications)
- 5+ years of manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or operations management experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing production and warehouse teams.
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and logistics.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
