Operations & Maintenance Specialist / Painter

Assist in performing basic operations and maintenance (O&M) service or repair work in specialized skill areas such as mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulics/pneumatics, millwright, welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locksmith, or machine servicing. Physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Location: Commerce/Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6+ Month Contract 

Pay Range: $25-35/hr, W 2
after hour work as well nights and weekends. Must be flexible to work various shifts. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing basic operations and maintenance (O&M) service or repair work in specialized skill areas such as mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulics/pneumatics, millwright, welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locksmith, or machine servicing.
• Select and lay out required materials per work orders or verbal instructions.
• May assist with requisitioning new supplies and equipment.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Painting and preparation of areas throughout the facility.

Requirements:

• Participation in a technical/apprenticeship program or equivalent and a minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of a trade, sufficient to deal with basic service and repairs.
• Ability to work from drawings or verbal instructions.
• Physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.
