This is a FIRST SHIFT position, working Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Follow cycle count procedures and processes to perform cycle counting duties and inventory adjustments.
  • Cycle counts raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other materials requested daily.
  • Utilize WMS/ERP system to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, and transactions. '
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations, conducting searches to locate misclassified inventory.
  • Maintain files and paperwork properly for cycle count records.
  • Report discrepancies and inventory accuracy daily.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvement to eliminate inventory inaccuracy.
  • Performs duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the company, federal, state, and local provisions.
  • Perform order picking and warehouse activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and team members to improve overall inventory processes in all facilities.
  • Perform customer service-related responsibilities as applicable.
  • Follow all quality procedures and instructions.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is essential to teamwork, timely information exchange, and meeting productivity requirements.
Qualifications

Skills/Competencies Required:
  • Must be able to work independently in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for semi-complex tasks.
  • Ability to use visual acuity, hand dexterity, and color and depth perception for selected tasks.
  • Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with ERP/WMS software.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and work independently as needed in a warehouse environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, to ensure upward and downward communication flow.
  • Requires the ability to read and follow job instructions, complete written forms, and effectively communicate with others.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance is an essential duty of the job.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment within inventory management and/or customer service.
  • OSHA approved powered industrial truck license is required; training provided.
  • On the job experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may be considered.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to frequently lift 10 lbs. up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs for up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, lift and carry 42 lb bucket 10ft, push and pull up to 50 lbs of force at waist height. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
  • Must be able to continuously stand/walk and/or sit during a 9 - 10-hour shift, frequent squatting/crouching, reach, and bend. Frequently step up and down 12" step and manipulate hand controls of mechanical lift.
  • Observe details at close range including but not limited to documents and computer screens.
Work Environment:
  • Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
  • May be humidity, noise, odors, dust
  • May require overtime or on-call shifts.
  • Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment to ensure safety from exposure to hazardous materials, loud noise, heat, cold, or other.
Compensation Disclosure:

The rate of pay for this position is $26.50/hour. This represents a good faith disclosure of compensation, which is the fixed starting rate for this position.
