    JOB SUMMARY

    The Operations Director serves as a key member of the leadership team for the Hope Has A Home (HHAH) Medical Respite Program. This position provides operational leadership and administrative oversight to ensure the program maintains a safe, compliant, and therapeutic environment for consumers and staff.

    • Working closely with the Director of Medical Respite, the Operations Director oversees daily operations, housing compliance, staff supervision, quality improvement initiatives, and operational resource management. The position is responsible for ensuring adherence to local, state, and organizational regulations related to residential housing, safety, and program operations while supporting the overall mission and goals of the Medical Respite Program.
    • The Operations Director supervises the Senior House Monitors, Drivers, and designated operational staff while serving as a resource to staff regarding policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and operational best practices. This role is responsible for monitoring operational expenditures and managing approved budgets related to facility operations, transportation, supplies, and program resources; however, it does not maintain full financial oversight of the program.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Staff Supervision

    • Provide direct supervision and support to Senior House Monitors, Drivers, and assigned operational staff. Document a minimum of 2 supervision sessions/month.
    • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations of direct supervisees.
    • Address staffing concerns and operational challenges in collaboration with the Director.
    • Promote a positive, trauma-informed, and consumer-centered work environment.
    • Ensure staff remain informed of changes to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and program expectations.

    Operations Management

    • Oversee the daily operational functions of the Medical Respite Program.
    • Ensure adequate staffing coverage at each site, managing vacations, vacations and call-outs.
    • Monitor transportation operations and fleet utilization.
    • Respond to operational emergencies, incidents, and facility-related concerns.
    • Support program readiness for inspections, audits, and site visits.
    • Responsible for tracking expirations of relevant licenses, certifications and inspections and ensuring they do not expire.

    Housing Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure compliance with all housing, health, fire, safety, and occupancy regulations.
    • Conduct routine facility inspections and environmental safety reviews.
    • Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of compliance concerns.
    • Maintain required documentation related to housing and facility compliance.
    • Serve as the primary liaison during housing and safety inspections.
    • Keep staff informed and educated regarding regulatory changes and compliance requirements.

    Program Administration & Quality Assurance

    • Support implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and operational standards.
    • Review incident reports, safety concerns, and operational trends.
    • Assist with data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor program outcomes and recommend operational enhancements.
    • Maintain up-to-date Operations Manual.
    • Store and maintain all vital documents related to program operations in secure shared location.

    Budget & Resource Management

    • Monitor operational expenditures against approved budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Assist with procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize resources.

    Community & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with community partners, service providers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Represent the program during meetings, inspections, and community events as assigned.
