Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Operations Director to take ownership of day-to-day operations across field and production teams within a fast-paced construction/fire protection environment. This leadership role is responsible for aligning field execution, service operations, engineering output, and fabrication activities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The focus of this position is on driving productivity, coordinating labor resources, maintaining schedules, and improving operational performance. While working alongside Project Managers, this role does not include responsibility for contracts or job-specific financial management. Core Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to field teams, including Superintendents and Foremen
Coordinate and optimize service department activities, including dispatching and performance tracking
Oversee engineering schedules to ensure timely completion of drawings and submittals
Supervise shop and fabrication operations, including materials planning and workflow
Plan and allocate labor, equipment, and resources across multiple projects
Strengthen alignment and communication between office staff and field personnel
Establish and refine processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability
Promote and uphold safety practices and company standards across all departments
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within construction, fire protection, or a related industry
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operational workflows
Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
Background in field operations, service coordination, or production environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general business systems
