Location: San Diego, CA

Salary: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Here's what we're looking for.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role
  • Experience in route distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, logistics, warehousing, or related industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger accounting
  • Experience managing inventory controls, audits, and cost accounting processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational leadership
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume business environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Job Duties:

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure general ledger accuracy
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Own branch P&L performance and support budgeting and financial planning activities
  • Oversee revenue reconciliation, cash controls, and point-of-sale reporting processes
  • Implement and monitor inventory controls, audits, and cost management initiatives
  • Track inventory shrinkage, spoilage, and cost of goods sold (COGS) to improve profitability
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify efficiencies and drive financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support strategic business decisions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting, inventory, and operational processes
