Overview:

Operations Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness of the facilities and for pre and post-event setup and teardown for the Atlantic City Convention Center and Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. They provide and maintain cleanliness throughout the entire venue as well as keep the environment safe and hazard-free for entertainers, guests, patrons, and staff.   

 

Responsible for the pre-event setup, ensuring the venue is ready to go for “SHOW TIME"! They must communicate in a friendly, respectful, and understanding manner with both colleagues and guests alike. They must politely give consistent, timely, and accurate information and find answers when unsure. Must be a team player and cooperate with employees within the department as well as other departments.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.19 (per CBA).

Responsibilities:
  • Remain flexible in accepting daily assignments / duties.
  • Follow and respond appropriately to oral and written instruction.
  • Understand and comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete tasks timely and effectively.
  • Follow monthly event calendar and weekly schedules.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work environment (janitor closets, housekeeping carts, etc.).
  • Clean equipment and store neatly in proper location.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Experience in a service related field, preferably environmental or convention services.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Prepare facilities for events as assigned, including setting chairs, stages, tables, counters (Lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Clean the grounds and perform trash removal as assigned.
  • Perform work of a strenuous nature.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
