Community Solutions Inc is seeking a Part-Time Operations Assistant to join our team at our Bridgeport AIC program. The AIC, or Alternative in the Community program is a community-based alternative to incarceration and provides multifaceted intervention services for offenders awaiting trial, or who are on probation or parole. The program uses Motivational Interviewing techniques and curricula-drive, evidence-based models designed to assess the needs of each client to reduce individual risk factors. As an Operations Assistant, your role will be to facilitate client supervision including monitoring of program activities and client transportation.
Schedules Available: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday-flexible hours
Starting wage: $21.13 per hour
Position Overview
- Ensure that all client and visitor sign in and out of the facility. Log entries into CSI data collection system at the time of the event.
- Conduct weekly safety and sanitation inspections of the facility and submit to PD weekly.
- Perform general custodial duties.
- Maintain client files and ensure compliance with Agency policy regarding confidential information. This confidentiality must be maintained even if you are no longer an employee of CSI.
- Provide client transportation as approved by the Program Director.
- Complete incident reports as needed and submit to PD prior to leaving shift.
- Register for and attend all required trainings and refreshers including but not limited to MI.
- Participate in the administration and collection of WAI surveys.
- Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paper work and electronic documentation into CSI and CSSD data collection systems on the day the data is obtained.
- Monitor JAMS case load to ensure all urines and Breathalyzer (if required) tests are randomly requested and secured.
- Communicate client non-compliance to the referral source within 24 hours. Document communication in CSI data collection system.
- Serve as a role model to clients and staff by modeling pro-social behaviors.
- Provide coverage of front desk duties as assigned.
- Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the Agency's programs, policies, procedures and code of ethics.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma plus one (1) year experience in the social service or criminal justice field or three years working with the public.
- Possess sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
