Operational Support Consultant - IIS Administration, SCOM and SCCM

Location: Harrisburg, PA Position Type: Contract

Rate: $35/hr on W2 (all inclusive no benefits)

Description

The Operational Support Consultant is part of the Operations team managing a large web application hosting environment in Central Pennsylvania. The areas of expertise for the consultant include Windows Administration, Active Directory and IIS/SQL. The hosting environment comprises 4000+ Wintel servers and 800+ Web-facing applications and continues to grow. It is widely recognized for its innovative use of the latest technologies from Microsoft, Cisco, and other leading IT companies.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the client and vendors to support applications in the data center.
  • Providing support for systems and applications – systems/Operations support will be the main responsibility
  • Support infrastructure services like Windows, Active Directory, PKI, Patch Management, Monitoring, etc. of the application servers.
  • Handle support tickets and is responsible for troubleshooting Windows, IIS, SQL and application issues.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Excellent Windows Administration
  • Strong Active Directory 2008/2012 Administration
  • Strong IIS Administration
  • Microsoft SCOM & SCCM – 2-3 yrs exp
  • Mobile Phone/Laptop: Required for infrequent after-hours support and escalations.
  • MCSE 2008 or MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification
Experience/Equivalent knowledge in any of the Following is a Plus
  • UNIX/Linux Administration
  • VMWare ESX
  • Microsoft PKI
  • ServiceNow
