Operating Room Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and responses throughout surgeries.
- Adhere to strict safety and aseptic protocols.
- Assist in the preparation and management of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately and comprehensively.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room RN experience.
- Valid RN license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes situations.
- Effective communication skills with team members and patients.
- BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Experience with robotics, neuro, plastics, and orthopedic surgeries is advantageous.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in cardiovascular surgery.
- Skills in handling complex surgical instrumentation.
- Prior experience floating across surgical specialties.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- At least 2 years of relevant operating room experience in a hospital setting.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work in rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
- Flexibility to float to other surgical specialties as needed.
- Ability to work night shifts on 4x10-hour schedules (19:00 - 07:00).
- Commitment to holiday scheduling requirements.
- Willingness to travel for assignments, when applicable.
- Valid certifications for BLS, ACLS (preferred).
