Operating Room Registered Nurse

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment, providing specialized nursing support across various surgical specialties to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and responses throughout surgeries.
  • Adhere to strict safety and aseptic protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Document patient information accurately and comprehensively.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of operating room RN experience.
  • Valid RN license in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes situations.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and patients.
  • BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics, neuro, plastics, and orthopedic surgeries is advantageous.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in cardiovascular surgery.
  • Skills in handling complex surgical instrumentation.
  • Prior experience floating across surgical specialties.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • At least 2 years of relevant operating room experience in a hospital setting.

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to work in rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
  • Flexibility to float to other surgical specialties as needed.
  • Ability to work night shifts on 4x10-hour schedules (19:00 - 07:00).
  • Commitment to holiday scheduling requirements.
  • Willingness to travel for assignments, when applicable.
  • Valid certifications for BLS, ACLS (preferred).
