Description

Our client, a leading facilities management organization, is seeking an Operating Engineer 2 to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 2, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Facilities Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $33-36/hr

What's the Job?

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor equipment operation, record readings, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain safety standards by following departmental policies for hazardous materials and workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
