**Job Summary:**


An Operable Wall Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of operable walls—movable partitions or dividers used to create flexible spaces within buildings.


Key duties associated with this role:


Installation:


  • Assemble and install operable walls according to specifications.
  • Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate operable walls seamlessly into building designs.
Maintenance and Repairs:


  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or malfunction.
  • Repair or replace damaged components, such as tracks, panels, and locking mechanisms.
  • Lubricate moving parts and adjust tension to maintain smooth operation.
Troubleshooting:


  • Diagnose issues related to operable walls not functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
  • Implement corrective measures to restore operability.
Customer Service:


  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns.
  • Provide guidance on proper usage and care of operable walls.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective service.
Safety and Compliance:


  • Adhere to safety protocols during installation and repairs.

*Qualifications and prerequisites for this role:


General:


  • Pass Drug Screening
  • Pass Background Check for JLA badging.
  • Driver License w/ Satisfactory Driving Record

Education and Background:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical Training: Formal training in related fields is advantageous.
Experience:


  • Hands-On Experience: Prior experience working with operable walls or similar systems is essential. This could include apprenticeships, internships, or on-the-job training.
  • Leadership Experience: As a technician, experience in supervising and guiding a team is valuable.
Technical Skills:
