Virginia Tech (VT) is recruiting to fill several tenured/tenure-track faculty positions at any rank in cancer research. These new faculty positions represent part of a major research initiative by VT located at both our main medical center campus in Roanoke (https://hst.vt.edu/campus.html) as well as our facility at the Childrens National Research and Innovation Campus in Washington DC (CNRIC - https://map.concept3d.com/?id=1353#!bm/?ce/40016?ct/40015?s/) of the Childrens National Hospital (CNH - https://www.childrensnational.org/).

Applicants should have an earned doctorate (PhD, MD, and/or DVM), postdoctoral research experience, a record of accomplishment of research productivity through high-quality publications, and a record of successful extramural funding commensurate with the seniority level for which they are applying.

The new faculty members will join thirteen teams of VT cancer researchers already in place at the FBRI cancer research centers in Roanoke and Washington DC, as well as additional cancer researchers from across the Virginia Tech campus and at the Childrens National Hospital. The successful candidates will primarily be expected to maintain a high-quality, extramurally-funded cancer research program. They will also have the opportunity to participate in some teaching of graduate students and to serve as a research mentor for VT graduate, medical, and undergraduate students.
