Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Associate Provost of Online Education, the Director of Online General Education seeks Online Adjunct Faculty members to teach general education courses to the adult student population in the Morehouse Online program.
Required Qualifications
A Master's in the applied concentration or a related field with extensive professional work experience in areas that allow for teaching specific course(s) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
A Doctorate degree is preferred.
Experience teaching online is preferred.
Preferred Education/Experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of specific academic discipline for the instruction.
Knowledge of pedagogical strategies and methods of student assessment.
Ability to convey complex ideas and techniques.
Proficient and functional knowledge of Blackboard and Moodle
LMS, MS Office(Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Strong communication acumen including written, oral, and listening
Physical Demands
Compensation
$1,000 per credit hour
Teaching Responsibility
Teach courses in assigned discipline by communicating subject matter clearly and effectively.
Participate in faculty orientation sessions and training related to online course delivery and adult student population.
Perform other duties as outlined within the teaching agreement.
