As an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) in our Outpatient Infusion Center, you will play a vital role in administering life-saving treatments, supporting patients through every stage of their cancer journey, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence.

    Through Trinity Health Of New England's collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, you'll have access to nationally recognized oncology expertise, advanced treatment protocols, educational resources, and opportunities to help shape the future of cancer care in our region.

    What You'll Do

    • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive infusion therapies in an outpatient setting.

    • Assess, monitor, and educate oncology patients throughout treatment, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

    • Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans.

    • Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions, providing timely interventions.

    • Deliver compassionate patient and family education regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and survivorship resources.

    • Maintain accurate documentation utilizing electronic medical record systems and clinical applications.

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety, outcomes, and experience.

    • Advocate for patients while fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.

    • Current Connecticut RN license.

    • BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

    • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

    Preferred

    • Oncology nursing experience in infusion, ambulatory, medical oncology, hematology, or acute care settings.

    • OCN certification or willingness to pursue certification.

    • BSN preferred.

    • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience preferred.

    • Experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.
