A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Full-Time, On-Site, Oncology Nurse in El Paso, TX!

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting, adhering to national standards, company policies, and specialty-specific oncology guidelines. The RN is responsible for recognizing and addressing the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients and families while actively participating in organization-wide quality and safety initiatives.

Oncology Nurse Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $45/hr
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Oncology Nurse Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

    ·         Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care in alignment with established oncology nursing standards and best practices.

    ·         Assess patient health status through interviews, medical history review, and ongoing clinical evaluation.

    ·         Identify patient and family needs and provide education, teaching materials, and treatment-related instructions.

    ·         Provide emotional, psychosocial, and supportive care to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.

    ·         Support clinic flow and assist in coordinating daily patient care operations.

    ·         Manage medication refill requests via pharmacy telephone lines and accurately document in patient records.

    ·         Schedule and coordinate consultations, diagnostic testing, procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.

    ·         Triage incoming patient phone calls and document relevant clinical information in the patient chart.

    ·         Facilitate communication between patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.

    ·         Assist patients in identifying and accessing community-based resources and support services.

    ·         Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

    ·         Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary oncology teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

    Oncology Nurse Requirements

    ·         Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

    ·         Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an outpatient setting, preferably caring for adult patients with chronic or complex medical conditions.

    ·         Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (Texas).

    ·         Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

    ·         Oncology or infusion experience preferred but not required.

    ·         Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills.

    ·         Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.
