Position Summary MEDICAL ONCOLOGY FACULTY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska, is actively recruiting compassionate patient-focused and collegial physicians to join our faculty. Successful candidates will have a focused interest in clinical care and clinical research for patients with Genitourinary malignancies, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and renal cancer. The successful applicant will participate in the multidisciplinary clinical care of patients and the design and conduct of cancer clinical trials. These are exciting opportunities to join more than 200 oncologists, translational, and basic scientists working together to fuse science and medicine to speed up breakthroughs in the lab and deliver state-of-the-art care to patients.
As part of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium, a unique team-research culture drives science rapidly from ideas to treatment-changing paradigms. The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Nebraska, provides the best in science and clinical practice. Through collaboration between the UNMCs Oncology/Hematology Division and our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, patients experience personalized care based on the latest scientific research.
The selected candidates will enjoy participation in multidisciplinary patient care teams, inpatient treatment, outpatient care, clinical trials, and opportunities for collaboration for investigator-initiated clinical research and translational research. Ideal candidates will be board certified in internal medicine and BCBE in medical oncology and/or hematology. We welcome newly trained physicians to consider these opportunities. Required Qualifications
MD DO MBBS or equivalent
Board certified in internal medicine and BCBE in medical oncology and/or hematology
