Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with cancer and blood disorders
- Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapies
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits and diagnostic testing
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care resources
- Coordinate care across multiple specialties to ensure seamless treatment delivery
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards for complex case discussions
- Stay current with advances in oncology through continuing medical education and professional development
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
- Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Strong clinical judgment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
