Job Title: On-Call Mental Health Worker (Afternoon Weekends)
Division/Program: Adult 24/7 Inpatient Crisis Residential Unit
Starting Compensation: $17.46 - $19.00 USD Per Hour
Working Location: Merced, CA
Working Hours/Shift: On-call coverage is needed for the Weekends PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Coverage is not based on a set schedule and will vary depending on program needs and client availability.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a social science field preferred. One (1) year of full-time direct care experience preferred OR one (1) year experience of non-professional consumer-directed internship in mental health field preferred. Valid California Driver's License required and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria required.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Promotes and assists clients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming and other activity or nursing activities. Monitors client's attendance at assigned activities and maximizes client participation through appropriate motivational techniques. Conducts and assists activity groups and community outings independently. Encourages client's interaction and socialization with other peers, providing feedback to clients on appropriate behavior while acting as a role model. Accurately documents in writing each client's attendance and response to activity and therapeutic groups or individual counseling in the individual medical record.

24/7 inpatient voluntary program 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59) Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services Pre-vocational or vocational counseling Medication evaluation and support services
