Job Description:

Our client is seeking:

An experienced financial services industry contractor specializing in business systems

engineering and support of order management applications. The contractor will have

experience configuring, connecting, enhancing, and implementing a main platform for portfolio

managements trading, compliance, and operations. The contractor should have direct

experience with implementing, using, and improving variety of order management systems.

Candidate should have experience working with equities, fixed income, derivatives, and

alternative investments, etc. products.

The successful candidate will have below duties:

  • Evaluating multiple OMS applications available in market.
  • Lead implementation/Enhancement/Support OMS application and its integration with

other applications in current application landscape.

  • Must have knowledge of various ETL mechanisms in market.
  • As a member of the technology team, work collaboratively with our investment

management, operations, data, and technology teams to understand and address

current platform pain points, challenges and opportunities as the teams work to

improve platform functionality and efficiency in conjunction with the ongoing migration

effort.

  • Participate in evaluating, planning, and executing certain enhancements, configuration

changes, workflow optimization, and other means of improving overall platform

efficiency.

  • Leverage experience on the third-party OMS applications in a variety of environments to

assist the client with implementing standard practices.

  • Troubleshoot and support custom system workflows; concentration will be initially

focused on supporting front office activities.

  • Train staff to build internal knowledge and capabilities within the agency.

The ideal contractor will have:

  • 7+ years' experience in the investment management industry working with buy-side

firms; experience working with complex pensions with high levels of internal

management highly preferred.

  • Broad investment knowledge and experience across public markets.
  • 7+ years' experience working on the various order management systems like Charles

River, Blackrock Aladdin etc. and various modules in support of both day-to-day issue

resolution and in the evaluation, planning and execution of enhancements and

continuous platform improvements with demonstrable ROI. Charles River experience is

preferred.

  • Participated in various phases of the lifecycle including implementation, upgrades, 3rd

party integrations, production support maturation, and process optimization.

  • Strong network of clients/firms with a profile similar to the agency and the ability to make

networking connections between the two organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters or additional professional credentials preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, at all levels within an investment firm,

with an emphasis on effectively delivering training to stakeholders that generate

eagerness to expand and apply their knowledge.

The Contractor(s) would also benefit from the following skills and background:

  • Experience working with investment management firms as Senior Business Analyst for

various OMS/EMS applications.

  • Experience with other third-party systems like Simcorp Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin, Eagle

STAR/PACE, FactSet, Bloomberg.
