Job Type: CertifiedJob Class Code: 2095Position Type: SalaryReports to: Building Level Principal, Assistant Director of Special EducationTerms of Employment: Compensation will be determined by the Superintendent based on 187 contract days and appropriate board-approved teacher salary schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in the specific field of education for which a job is sought.
  • Certification: Valid state teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: A positive attitude, a growth mindset, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with student goals as well as state and district standards.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages respect, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Assessment: Administer various formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Parent-Teacher Communication: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student performance, share successes, and address concerns.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, school staff, and administrators to support each student's individual needs as well as the school's mission and goals.
  • Data Collection: maintains accurate documentation and records related to student progress
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in education.
  • Other duties as assigned by school administration.
