HAYWARD MIDDLE SCHOOL-HIGH SCHOOL

OJIBWE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE INSTRUCTOR

The Hayward Community School District is accepting applications for the position of MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL OJIBWE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE INSTRUCTOR to begin with the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain Wisconsin certification as an Ojibwe language and culture teacher, which involves obtaining letters from school and tribal officials attesting to knowledge of Ojibwe language and culture, ability to relate to middle school/high school-age children, and ability to implement an Ojibwe language program based on student needs.
  • Wisconsin DPI Certifications in either American Indian Language - 0032 or Other Foreign Language - 1390 will be beneficial and considered.

Terms of Employment: Teacher calendar.
