DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Located in Wrenn Hall at High Point University, the Admissions Mail Room is the primary processing center for all Admissions incoming/outgoing mail and packages. They also provide support with a variety of admissions events throughout the year, including:
• Open House • Freshman Orientation • Scholarship Weekend • And much more

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Admission Outreach Assistant reports to the Administrative Assistant and will help coordinate a minimum of fifteen existing events annually, ranging in size and external reach, while also supporting a variety of mailings initiatives. They will package thousands of custom acceptance letters to incoming freshman and all other gifts that are to be received then on.
JOB LOCATION/ HOURS REQUIRD
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Wrenn Hall mailroom. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to (at least 10) hours per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate detail-oriented qualities • Gather, construct, and execute admissions event materials for multiple events throughout the year • Communicate between Administrative Assistant, Director of Enrollment Guest Experience, Admissions Event Coordinators, Admissions Counselors, and all other admissions personnel • Package hundreds of mailings to incoming and prospective students • Ability to abide by the confidentiality policy as set by the University and the department • Conduct themselves in a professional manner and represent the University in a positive way as they may meet outside visitors, and other representatives of the University • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate/Graduate High Point University student • DESIRED SKILLS
• Must have a minimum (2.5) overall GPA • Ability to lift 40 lbs • Ability to work anytime between 9:00am - 5:00pm throughout the academic year or summer
