    Job Summary

    The Office of the Provost at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Student Assistant pool.

    The student assistant supports the Office of the Provost directly and/or provides project support as directed. This may include staffing front desk, maintaining an organized and inviting space, answering calls or monitoring emails, organizing and preparing for meetings or events, pulling together data and PowerPoints, maintaining records or files, keeping tasks on track and monitoring deadlines, providing follow up communication, assisting with projects, outreach, as directed, assisting with web or online support if have the appropriate skill set. Other duties as assigned.

    This is a pool of Student Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary.

    Per campus policy, student workers may not exceed a combined total of 20 hours between all campus jobs.

    APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE
    ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

    Required Qualifications

    • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
    • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
    • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
    • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

    Out-of-state Employment Policy
