Office/Plant Manager

Location: McKenney, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and motivated Office/Plant Manager to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of a busy manufacturing facility in McKenney, Virginia. This role is a key part of the leadership team and supports plant operations, human resources, payroll, recruiting, customer service, and general office administration while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Essential Responsibilities

Office & Administrative Management

  • Oversee daily front office and administrative operations
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of personnel files
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and business documents as needed
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and internal communications

Human Resources & Recruiting

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, orientation, and training documentation
  • Maintain attendance records and personnel files
  • Support employee relations by addressing questions and concerns professionally
  • Assist with disciplinary documentation, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Review employee timecards and attendance records
  • Coordinate payroll changes, new hires, terminations, and status updates
  • Assist employees with payroll and benefits-related questions

Plant Operations Support

  • Work closely with plant leadership to support daily production activities
  • Assist with staffing coordination to meet production demands
  • Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Support inventory, purchasing, and general production office needs
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Sales & Customer Support

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team
  • Assist with customer communication, order tracking, and scheduling
  • Prepare customer documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Coordinate communication between customers, production, and shipping

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong culture of safety throughout the facility
  • Maintain required employee documentation and compliance records
  • Assist with incident reporting, workplace investigations, and Workers’ Compensation documentation
  • Support OSHA compliance and internal safety policies

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of office management, HR, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • HR, recruiting, and employee relations experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
