Office Services of Columbia, LLC is a privately held administrative and operations firm supporting a portfolio of businesses including agriculture, restaurant operations, real estate, and investment management. Our small, close-knit team supports a fast-moving owner who has high expectations and deep loyalty to the people who earn his trust.
We are hiring an Office Manager — someone who can lead from the middle, build order out of complexity, and serve as the steady operational bridge between the owner and the team.
This is a fully on-site position in Columbia, SC.
What You'll Do
Serve as the first point of contact for all office staff — handling questions, routing tasks, and resolving issues before they reach the owner
Translate the owner's priorities and directives into clear, actionable direction for the team
Own daily office operations across multiple business entities including scheduling, task tracking, and team coordination
Maintain and improve shared systems: server organization, calendar management, password management, and internal communication
Oversee HR coordination: employee handbooks, onboarding and offboarding, personnel records, and basic compliance across all entities
Build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to document institutional knowledge and ensure continuity
Coordinate with the owner on travel logistics, personal scheduling, and business correspondence as needed
Identify process gaps and implement practical, simple solutions without being asked
Perform other duties as assigned — in a multi-entity environment, flexibility is essential
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in office management, executive assistance, or operations
Proven experience supporting a senior executive or business owner in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills — you are clear, concise, and professional
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); QuickBooks familiarity a plus
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
Experience building administrative processes or filing systems from the ground up
Comfortable making decisions independently within appropriate scope — you don't need to be told twice and you know when to escalate
Valid driver's license required
Preferred but not required:
Experience in a multi-entity, family office, or small business environment
