American Chillers is seeking an experienced Office Manager to take full ownership of our front office — the person who keeps our finances, shipments, and customer relationships running smoothly day to day.
We design and build custom cooling systems for breweries, cold-plunge studios, medical laboratories, and a range of specialized industries. We're based in Columbia, South Carolina, and growing steadily. Our front office is the operational hub of the company, and we're looking for the right professional to take it over and run it well — with the autonomy and trust to make it their own.

Responsibilities
- Accounts receivable and payable. Issue invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, process vendor bills, and keep both reconciled and accurate.
- Shipping and logistics. Coordinate outbound freight, prepare packing slips and bills of lading, track shipments, and keep customers informed.
- Customer service. Serve as the primary point of contact by phone, provide order updates, and resolve issues professionally.
- Office operations. Oversee records, filing, supplies, and the daily details that keep the team running.
Requirements
- 3+ years running an office or in senior administrative or operations roles (manufacturing, construction, or trades experience a plus).
- Strong command of accounts receivable and payable, and comfort working in accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organized, with the judgment to manage competing priorities calmly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Comfortable learning new tools; we rely on modern software and automation.
- High school diploma required; associate's degree or higher a plus.
