Position Overview
The Office Manager for the Commander's Resolution Office serves as the commander's trusted administrative lead and operational integrator, ensuring the organization functions seamlessly across people, programs, and processes. This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong interpersonal abilities, a working knowledge of Air Force structure and operations, and the confidence to communicate effectively with senior leaders, staff, and external agencies.
The Office Manager is the central point of coordination for administrative, manpower, personnel, and special program functions, balancing detail‑oriented execution with the ability to anticipate needs, manage priorities, and advise leadership. Success in this role depends on sound judgment, discretion, adaptability, and a proactive, service‑oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Commander & Front Office Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the commander/director on all administrative support programs.
- Directly assist the commander in the day‑to‑day management of internal operations, tasking, and priority alignment.
- Track, suspense, and prioritize actions across the organization to support commander‑directed initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and present data to leadership with recommended courses of action.
Administrative Program Management
- Manage and oversee a wide range of administrative and "additional duty" programs, including but not limited to:
- Cybersecurity Liaison (CL)
- Government Travel Card (GTC) and Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Government Purchase Card (GPC)
- Safety, security, and supply programs
- Drug Demand Reduction, Health Care, and Fitness programs
- ADPE accounts and unit recognition programs
- Civilian timecard and time & attendance processing
- Ensure programs are compliant with Air Force, DoD, and higher‑headquarters policies.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and recommend improved or automated processes.
Personnel & Manpower Liaison
- Act as liaison to Military and Civilian Personnel Flights
- Advise leadership on personnel processes, policies, and actions
- Process and track assignments, evaluations, and manpower changes
- Maintain manpower documents, rosters, and databases; analyze staffing needs
Training, Communication & Onboarding
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new personnel
- Coordinate and deliver administrative training as needed
- Communicate policy updates and procedural changes
- Guide and support administrative staff and unit POCs
Operational Excellence
- Maintain office procedures, trackers, and records systems
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting (including classified materials as required)
- Support command events and protocol activities
- Manage office logistics, supplies, and support services
Requirements
- Prior experience in a Front Office, CSS, or similar Air Force administrative environment strongly preferred.
- Prior military service or extensive experience supporting military organizations highly desired.
- Strong working knowledge of Air Force publications and administrative processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and comfort navigating Envision.
- Familiarity with "additional duty" programs and administrative compliance requirements.
- Ability to support training efforts and brief or instruct personnel as needed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SIPR access.
- Exceptional people skills, professional communication ability, and confidence interacting across ranks, roles, and agencies.
- A proactive, adaptable "go‑getter" mindset able to handle redirects, competing priorities, and dynamic demands.
