Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include staffing assignments, patient scheduling, and the supervision of the Front Desk staff.
The Coordinator assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of therapy documentation processes, equipment/supply purchasing, payroll entry and daily billing procedures.
Uses critical thinking skills in order to analyze work-related situations to identify issues, problems or processes that can be addressed or improved in order to assist Director/operations.
The Coordinator leads Team Conferences, supports departmental meetings and assists with preparation for accreditation agency surveys.
The Coordinator acts as a liaison between all facility departments; establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, physicians, patients and other departments.
Greets patients and family members.
Answers phones.
Assists with quarterly PI and radiation safety.
Promotes and displays a positive customer-oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
A minimum of one (1) year office experience in a medical field preferred.
