VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a talented Office or Business Manager to provide support in Troy, MI. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who enjoys both accounting and helping a business to run on a day-to-day basis. High visibility, key position supporting accounting, purchasing, and various operational activities.
POSITION TYPE: Full time, direct hire, onsite daily.
PAY: $ 70,000 to $80,000 annually based on experience. PTO and benefits package provided.
Requirements of the Office / Business Manager:
Education: Bachelor s degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (other degrees considered) is highly preferred.
Prior experience supporting an automotive supplier or manufacturer is a plus.
Minimum six years of experience in corporate accounting, accounts payable, and procurement.
Has a basic understanding of sales and use tax.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and offer solutions to issues that arise.
Person who pays attention to small details and strives for accuracy in work.
Ability to travel locally to Lapeer, Troy, and Taylor, MI to take care of business as needed.
Dynamic personality, able to engage professionally with internal and external contacts.
Strong software skills with MS Office including Excel, ERP systems (NetSuite is highly preferred).
Duties of the Office / Business Manager:
Support the business operations for the company interfacing with Accounting, Management and Suppliers.
Provide daily operational support by answering the main office phone line, managing mail for the locations, putting in IT support requests and performing other operational tasks as assigned.
Assist with the purchasing function by tracking inventory levels and ordering equipment and supplies, generating purchase orders, and receiving goods and services. Manage shipment and customs information using software systems.
Set up new vendors and customers in the system and enter supplier invoices into the system for processing.
Generate and send customer invoices for services performed. Scanning check deposits. Follow up with clients on late payments.
Provide accounting support by generating and analyzing reports. Assist in the month end close process by researching and reconciling transactions, calculating expense accruals. Maintenance and disposal of fixed assets.
Assist with audits by providing requested information.
Work hand and hand with management to manage priorities and problem solve as issues arise.
