Office Assistant / Collections Specialist - Mobile Home Community

Local multi-family property owner is seeking an exceptional person to join our team as a Full -Time Property Leasing Coordinator. We are looking for an energetic person with an outgoing attitude and strong organizational/communication skills who can balance great customer service with strong follow-through. Potential growth opportunity. $19/hour. This position is located in Westland, MI.

What You’ll Do

• Greet residents and handle incoming calls
• Post payments and manage resident accounts
• Handle rent collections and follow-up
• Assist with leases, move-ins, and office tasks
• Support marketing and lead tracking

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly but firm communicator
• Comfortable discussing money and holding expectations
• Highly organized, reliable, detail-oriented and disciplined
• Prior office or collections experience preferred
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to follow directions well
• Computer skills, including Microsoft products
• Bending, kneeling, stretching, squatting, walking, and lifting up to fifteen (15) pounds, and lifting over fifteen (15) pounds occasionally

• Highly organized
• Firm, but respectful in all forms of communication
• HIGH accountability and follow-through/follow-up
• Comfortable with difficult conversations
• Thick-skinned, but compassionate and empathetic
• Ability to remain calm in highly emotional or confrontational situations
• Results-driven. This position will be responsible for the entire collections program

• Bi-Lingual
• Prior experience in a collections role in a residential or MH setting
• Familiar with Michigan legal process and eviction process
