The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Office Assistant 2 position at Anchorage Correctional Complex (ACC) in Anchorage, Alaska.

What you will be doing:
This position is in the Property Section at the Anchorage Correctional Complex (ACC).   ACC is the intake facility for the Anchorage bowl that houses 800-1,000 prisoners, who are sentenced and unsentenced felons and misdemeanants.  

The incumbent of this position must work independently to maintain inmate property and inmate accounts and input all necessary data entry to maintain accurate records.  Responsible for all inmate property stored in the property room at the Anchorage Correctional Complex. Maintain large amounts of cash in the property till; prepare bank deposit; ensure proper accountability of all inmate funding using ACOMS. Ensure inmates receive all items in their inventory including funds upon release.  Communicate with inmates regarding property or money concerns.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is part of a team which also consists of Correctional Officers.  Work hours are consistent with the shifts worked by the team.   Duty Schedule is one (1) week on / one (1) week off-75 hour rotation with the assigned shift.  This is either days for week on or nights for week on for a 13-week rotation.
