Position Summary
The Police Officer is responsible for the enforcement of all federal, state and local statutes and ordinances.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
• The officer will follow all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Provides for the security and protection of Orlando Health team members, guests, visitors, patients and property.
• Responds to calls for service or emergencies, and make any required oral or written reports.
• Assists team members, patients, guests and visitors as needed.
• The officer will restrain unstable or combative individuals when directed, or believes the individual is about to harm himself or
another.
• Investigates incidents and complete reports in a timely, coherent, and accurate manner as required.
• Issues trespass warnings and makes criminal arrests as required.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.


Other Related Functions
• Handles varying situations professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
• The officer will be proficient in the English language with the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Able to operate a two-way radio.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Training

High school graduate. Must be a full-time or reserve law enforcement officer with Orlando Police Department.

 

Licensure/Certification
State of Alabama Law Enforcement Officer Certificate issued by the Dept of Law Enforcement as required to maintain full-time or
reserve law enforcement officer status with Orlando Police Department.
