    Occupational Therapy Assistant

    Royal Oak Nursing Center, Dade City, Florida

    Position offered:

    Full Time, On-Site Monday-Friday 9am-5pm


    Royal Oak Nursing Center has provided extraordinary services to residents for over 35 years! We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality care to our residents. The PTA provides rehab and therapy services under the supervision of Physical Therapists and the Director of Rehab.

    Qualifications:

      Ability to present a positive attitude, and carry out respectful relationships and communication with residents, peer staff, families, guests, and vendors.

    ·         Have a clear and active Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license with the State of Florida.

    ·         Have a valid CPR certification.

    ·         Have a clear level II background screen.

    ·         Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

    ·         Ability to lift 60-70lbs frequently.

    ·         Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit, push/pull) intermittently throughout the workday.

    ·         Ability to speak and write in English.

    ·         Knowledgeable of therapy practices and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations specific to therapy.

    ·         Other qualifications as outlined in the Job Description.

     

    Responsibilities:

    ·         Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapists and plans of care.

    ·         Record clinical documentation and daily treatment changes.

    ·         Communicate with team members and providers regarding resident progress, problems and plans.

    ·         Routinely verify department equipment is in clean and working order.
