Key Duties:

  • Direct Clinical Care: Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy treatments and personalized interventions to improve patient outcomes.

  • Mentorship & Training: Offer guidance, training, and clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Aides, patients, and family members to ensure the success of Functional Maintenance Programs.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Participate as a key clinical expert within the team, contributing to holistic planning, creative problem-solving, and innovative care processes.

  • Operational Leadership: Fulfill administrative duties, including center-based supervision of the rehabilitation department in partnership with Physical Therapy.

  • Resource Management: Track and manage specialized OT rehabilitation equipment to ensure the team has the tools necessary for excellence.

  • Advocacy: Act as a mentor for colleagues, developing respect for new ideas and clinical proposals that enhance the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an approved, accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience, specifically including at least two years working with physical disabilities in geriatric or frail populations.

  • Licensure: Current license to practice in the state of California through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).

  • Certification: Successful completion of the certification exam and initial registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

  • Core Skills: Proven ability to work independently while excelling as a collaborative member of a team.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently; ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and frequently lift up to 50 lbs to assist patients.
